Martin Colony History: Hosting Martins annually since 2003 in SE Louisiana. Five gourd racks, 64 Troyer Horizontal gourds with Conley II SREH entrances.

The same exact date as last year my first martin returned today. I noticed the lone ASY male circling overhead feeding late this afternoon. He made several low passes a few minutes later checking out the racks then on about pass number four landed going immediately inside a Troyer Vertical gourd with Conley entrance. I watched about five additional minutes and he did not exit so I presume he is in for the night and glad to be back!

Well sounds like they are getting close to me here in BR,La. I am ready and waiting for them. My birds are not quite as early as yours as I have another week to go. But who knows maybe they will be a little early this year. Have a good year.

Got my first two tonight gussiemike. I am only about 40 miles (as the Martin flies) from Baton Rouge here in Paulina.
