Hello,
we recently purchased a house in Cocoa Beach on a golf course and want to put up PM housing. Being from Ohio where the ground is clay I had no problem with the ground sockets. I'm new to sand "soil" and wonder if there are any tips or concerns? I plan on ordering something from the PMCA soon as the season is right around the corner.
We have a 48 gourd colony up north and would like to have a colony as well here.

Hey Dave, not leaving full time yet. Plan on keeping the colony going in Ohio. I can't just abandon the martins we house there. No way no how.
My sister and her son from Cincinnati are going to come out and help manage the colony when we are gone. They are really interested in keeping it going. They helped me this fall take the gourds down and clean. And they will get some up and ready when they are due to arrive.
Our ranch will be kept in the family she is buying it..

Where I live here in Ohio ,(Belpre ) I have never had a problem and the soil is very sandy here .
