where did my birds go

I had about 10 birds 2pair were nesting with egg the other day they were gone today I had 2 birds come and go several times the others didn't come back at all what went wrong

Sounds like some kind of predator.. did you find any feathers at the base of the pole? Do you have predator guards up?
Keep trying and keep your chin up, its easier to see the martins coming!!

Not sure but I might be experiencing the same thing. I've had a couple SY pair here for a few weeks that have complete nests built and earlier this week I had several more show up and start building nests. They were all here this morning and this afternoon when I got home from work I noticed none of them were around. I assumed they were out feeding but I don't think they came back in tonight. Hoping they are here in the morning.

I think they will all be back the first nice day.Sometimes when the weather is off they don't hang out at the home site, especially before the egg laying is completed.

you know the weather did change a cold front came in today its in the 60's this morning maybe that's it thanks a lot

Not sure what you have going on??? More then likely a predator problem but which one would only be a guess. Fortunately mine came back the next day. I was hoping you would be reporting the same.
