I did my 4th nest check Saturday 27th. I have 17 pair this year. Out of 21 gourds . Found 20 babies and 68 eggs. This is the most exciting year ever. I never dreamed I would be so blessed to have this many. I had 12 pair last year and 3 pair the year before. I have half natural gourds with tunnels and half Troyes horizontal gourds with all having the Connelly 2 entrances. They seem to love both kinds. Good to see some of the people that started about same time I did still posting like deb a. Good to here your doing ok.

- Martin Colony History: The 1972 St. Agnes flood wiped out all the Martins in my area. One day, in 1997-98, 5 or 6 Martins landed on the power wires crossing my back yard. I had no house for them. They kept coming back day after day. We got a martin house a few weeks later & they have been coming back every year since. I average 12-15 pair per year.
Chris:
Sounds like your colony is doing good. Keep up the good work.
