My personal colony site is ready for the 2017 Purple Martin season! I will be offering 100 compartments. I have two wooden houses: T-14 and a Terrific Twelve New Creation house, for a total of 26 compartments. I have three gourd racks: Gemini, Super System 24, and K-Series 18, along with four gourds below each wooden house, for a total of 74 Excluder Gourds.

I also have a B&B where I will be serving crushed egg shells and oyster shells.

My first year I had 2 pair. Last year I had 16 pair. My first ASY male returned on April 30th last year... I'm anxious to see what 2017 brings!

Martin Colony History: 2016 Informed landlord now Have 2 pair returning from 2015 That is a miracle. Hoping for a very successful year, sparrow population on decline.
First house was plastic with crescent holes Had martins within a few days. Ignorant landlord gradually lost them
Then got Trio House and still lost most of them. Lots of sparrows

Wow!
