Martin Colony History: Established colony in 1990

Saw our first Martin on March 1. This is the earliest we have ever seen them here in central Virginia. If you didn't know the date and the Martins showed up, you would know it was March 17. Last year they came on the 10th of March. But March 1 is definitely a record for us. For 26 years March 17 was the date of arrival. I had a feeling they would come early and told my husband we better get the gourds put up. Good thing he did. Hope everyone has a great Martin year!

Great. I put mine up early in Virginia Beach, and we had arrivals on February 26th. Hope you have a great Martin year, also.

Martin Colony History: 22 year landlord, 14 at current residence..offering 9 racks and a homemade T-8 for 166 total cavities. 160 Pair in 2018 Racks consist of a Deluxe 12, AAA 16, Starburst 16, 2 K-18 Series, Super 24, 2 Gemini, Multi-purpose/two trio’s/4gourds and a T-8..Great hobby to be involved in..
