Crickets, meal worms, dried meal worms, super worms, scrambled eggs. What are the merits of each for supplemental feeding? Are meal worms as good a choice as crickets? And what about dried meal worms? It seems that the dried meal worms would be the easiest to handle and keep.
So far I have had no success with supplemental feeding, not for a lack of trying. Last year I tried crickets, maybe my Martins just haven't been hungry enough to accept the offer.
Just wondering in which direction I should go this year.

2020- added 48 gourds for a total 90 cavities, and got 53 pair fledged 208. We lost 30+ due cold in early may
I got mine started on crickets, it took 2 days under 50 degrees , at first i put some crickets in there gourd which they gobbled up after that they started catching them when i flipped them, then i was able to switch to scrambled eggs. good luck
