Don't want to offend anyone. Are the Louisiana reports legit?

I don’t have the perfect site. One open flyway with trees within 80 ft. I do have a small pond they utilize during the heat of Summer. (2017) HEAVY HAWK PREDATION

With this warm weather and southern winds no wonder. I just went ahead and put my house all the way up, still closed.
Mine normally come mid Feb., but in BR where I use to live I once saw them in late Jan.

Good luck.

Looked at previous years' reports, and this is about right.

I'm in Denham Springs right outside of BR and have seen them late January. My housing went up last weekend. Watching the skies every day and listening hard!

Hi, I am in Baton Rouge, our martins usually arrive around early Feb. However with the weather like it has been we put up one of our three gourd racks. They could come early this year we hope. Looking and listing for them. Hope everyone has a great season.

Dave, I hope this will be your year as well. You seem determined. You have been trying since 2011 very commendable. It only takes one to start your colony. Much enjoyment to be had when they start coming. Keep us posted on your year. gussiemike.
