Martin Colony History: I only have one 16 compartment house. I only have a small backyard so I have to be happy with what I got.
No problems having several pairs for the past 5 years. Never quite have a full house.

All the birdies have left the roost. There were 2 this morning that came back for a bit but since left. Going to miss hearing their songs and sometime mayhem. :-(

Martin Colony History: 2016 - 1 pair - 4 fledged
2017 - 4 pair - 16 fledged
2018 - 7 pair - 24 fledged

I'm waiting for my first pair to hatch yet. By my best checks should be about July14th. It took them a LONG time to figure out which compartment they liked the best. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well.

I thought mine were all gone too. My first five babies disappeared two weeks ago and I assumed they were gone. Late yesterday afternoon all five and momma and daddy came in and went to the gourd they were born in. I have read they take test flights to prepare the "kids" for the flight home. I'll always be trying to figure these awesome birds out.

Sorry we've been gone on vacation for the past week. Yes all five eggs hatched. We checked them last nite after getting home. All doing fine. They should be fledging any day.

Martin Colony History: Started 2015 with 6 HTG excluders, added 6 S&K Bo with excluder tunnels in 2016. Full occupancy both years, many fledglings.

Most of mine are gone now too, although I do see a few stragglers occasionally. Whether they are the 'resident' birds, or transients, not sure.
