house sparrows
Last year I trapped a male house sparrow in my gourd rack. Shortly after I raised 3 young martins. If I didn't get that house sparrow it could of pecked those eggs. Now this year Ive been tearing nests out of the barn which is 65 yards from gourd rack. I tried trapping the house sparrows in the barn with no success. I can't shoot around the barn for safety reasons. Can I keep tarring out the nests and not have h.s. move to the gourd rack?
Glue traps in the barn will work, if it is only HOSP. Maybe net the nest at night time while they're roosting. I would worry about them going over to the gourds, so try to take them out in the barn. Good luck.

Have you tried a bait trap in the barn? Use glue traps with great caution - for instance, if Barn Swallows are also nesting in barn, you'd want to be sure they could not get in glue traps.
