I even installed a 12 unit fountain rack from the PMCA this past off season, rack has troyer horizontal gourd's w/tunnels.I have a t-14 that I built w/4 troyer gourds underneath also, friends & family think im alittle nut's but that's ok cuz I know you all understand me ! LOL   I'll keep ya's posted as the season progresses...BERNDOG

Martin Colony History: Several colonies with in 6 mile radius.
Have had visitor every year 2014-24.
Two large trees removed in fall 2024 and moved T-14 to a more open location.
2025- 1 SY pair. Fledged 2.

Mojo sent. You are on your way. If you get that first pair to return after a successful year, they will attract more. 9just my opinion). We can try attraction techniques, but its never as good as the real deal.

2014, 1st year-a few lookers, no nests
2015-23. Visitors each year. But no pairs.
2024- most active year. 2-4 SY male’s hang out most days.
2025, 1 SY pair. 2 eggs, 2 fledged!! Other martins visited daily.
Still eliminating starlings and sparrows.

Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

That's great news! I was one of those 1 pair starts. So glad you have a PM.

Martin Colony History: First nesting pair in 1995.

I could only hope when my time expires that I could return as a purple martin, think of all the happiness I could bring to north america ,my long wait for returns ended on the 21st,had a asy male and female spend the night, started getting restless, this year has been the longest wait ever, thinking others having the same issues maybe someone had a little spare mojo and sent some my way too.
