Dallas,
So sorry to hear about your loss. This brings me back to when I lost my mom and dad. Two of the worst times in my life. For me the whole world stopped but as I looked around everything else kept moving. It seemed to make me angry. I buried myself in work and hobbies. The old saying “Time Heals” is very true for me. I now have some wonderful memories to reflect on. Especially when I’m out on the patio having breakfast, playing a violin to the Martins and reflecting on all the wonderful times we had. I hope in some way God, all these wonderful posts, my reflections and your martins give you some peace. Maybe you can even find a tiny bit of humor in the fact that all my neighbors think I’m nuts.
Take care
Paul

Thanks everyone. I now have around 20 martins and every night I watch them come in I think of my mom and
know if she were here and able she would be watching with me. Thanks again for all the thoughtful words.

So sorry about your Mom, Dallas. The martins do seem to raise our spirits. I will never understand why, but I guess I don't need to....
