What in the world is going on!
I've landlorded for 35 years or so, 5 years at this location. My birds normally arrive the 10th or 11th of Feb. I reported on the 12th as having one spend the night, which he did but apparently he was headed to pastures elsewhere as I haven't seen him or my birds since. Have no idea why they are so late. Seems a lot of folks are reporting late birds this year. Here's hoping today is the day. Good luck to you all.

I'm in Georgetown. We should have some by now too but other than one trying to get into a closed gourd a few nights ago (there were others open) we haven't seen anymore. He left so apparently was headed elsewhere and only looking for a place to spend the night.

- Martin Colony History: First started in Gretna, La in 1969 with a small homemade house, have had martins ever since at 2 different homes in Texas
Mine were about 10 to 14 days later than previous years. Folks, this is absolutely nothing to worry about, its just nature. They have about a 4 week difference between the first ever and the latest ever at our location. The arrival time seems to have nothing to do with anything else that I can think of.
