I'm missing my Martins, especially now that they are a week late. At least I am enjoying our Bluebirds! Have a good week everyone!

Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!

Stay calm Jose and they will show up soon I'm sure!!! :lol:

Thank you Sharon! I usually see Starlings before the Martins show up, however I haven't seen one around here yet. Not that I need the troubles. :lol:

Yes I am sure you will have some birds show up by this weekend Jose and then we can enjoy more pictures of your birds ,would love to have bluebirds in my yard nice looking birds

Martin Colony History: 2005-2019. Lots lookers, 2 successful nesting's.
2010-1 pair nested, 4 eggs destroyed(Wren).
2012- 1 pair nested, 4 eggs, 4 fledged
2019- 1 pair nested, 4 eggs, 4 fledged.
2021- 10 pair, 40 babies fledged.
2022- 17 pair, 10 eggs not hatched= appxy. 57 fledged.

Love the photos: Bluebirds are so pretty. Can't wait till my Bluebirds return. It will be awhile yet.

Thanks Joanne! They are bathing in one of our bird baths. Our Bluebirds seam to watch over the gourds till the Martins arrive. This will be the third year they do this. Once the Martins show up the Bluebirds stay away from the gourds pretty much. :lol:

My bluebirds coexist very well with the martins. Neve seen one go into Martin housing but they perch on the perch rods all year long. When I flip crickets the bluebirds are quick to get all crickets that the martins miss.
