I just checked on my only fledgling two days ago and he was tucked in his house just fine and now he is not there. Today I found this bird floating in my horse's water trough? Can you help me identify this bird, Please?

No, that is not a Purple Martin - maybe a House Sparrow, by the bill size and shape. Do you know how old the martin nestling would be? They leave nest about 26 days or so after hatching.

OMG thank you!

I only had one fledgling - At least three weeks old if not a bit more. He was tucked way in back, but I believe all the ruckus has been the parents trying to coax him out? He was fully feathered and ready and a good size.
Thanks to all,
