I have been a PMCA member for years and enjoyed reading everyone's post and looking at pictures. I thought I should share my pics since I have enjoyed this forum. Long story short......I have been a landlord for 13 years. I have learned the hard way, 2 snake attacks, (that I witnessed 2 different years as they fell out of the house), hawk attacks, and if a sparrow or starling shows up at my property it is quickly eliminated. Then I started to research and built a nice colony. This year I have 63 pairs out of 64 compartments. 2 years ago my friend and fellow PMCA member Calvin Anderson contacted me and said Tim Mangan would band my Martins if I was interested. We banded 47, and 4 banded birds returned this year. Last month we banded again, this time 60. My sister Ashley is a photographer and fellow landlord and took some great pics. Hope everyone enjoys her pics. Have a great weekend!

Carter:

Thanks for sharing the pic's.

Carter has a very nice colony and it is always a joy to band at his site. Table, tent, helpers, etc. are always ready for me when I arrive. Pizza and the works were also available following the banding but I needed to head out to beat some oncoming bad weather and do some banding at another site. Look forward to next years banding at his colony and hopefully will get to stay for a while after the session ends.

Martin Colony History: 22 year landlord, 14 at current residence..offering 9 racks and a homemade T-8 for 166 total cavities. 160 Pair in 2018 Racks consist of a Deluxe 12, AAA 16, Starburst 16, 2 K-18 Series, Super 24, 2 Gemini, Multi-purpose/two trio’s/4gourds and a T-8..Great hobby to be involved in..

Great photos! Tim also banded (50)! at my residence last year, but unfortunately I didn't see any returnees ( believe me, i looked).. Had a good time and was published in the local newspaper...the reporter even called and wanted to do a follow up story, but didn't have any return here and none of the small colonies around me called to report any, ( which I expected any ways)... Glad to see you had some that returned, that's awesome!!
