Does anyone know if the Willowbrook Roost is active this year and if so the exact location?

Yes, thanks to Houston Audubon there will be watch parties at various roost locations, including Willowbrook Mall on July 25.

Thank you, Louise. The last time I visited the roost there a couple years ago it was on the Starbucks side of 1960 across from the mall. The Audubon gives a good description of location at Stafford but no specifics at Willowbrook. I"ll contact them to see exactly where they set up. Taking my 87 year old Mother whose in a wheelchair to watch them this Friday and want to go to the right area.

Martin Colony History: First started in Gretna, La in 1969 with a small homemade house, have had martins ever since at 2 different homes in Texas

I noticed on radar about 6 AM to 6:15 AM that a huge roost appears after daylight near the Missouri City - Stafford area. It may be the same place that it was last year at the Fountains.

We get about 50 martins visiting our site every morning about 8:30, so I know that the roost nearby is active.
