Total of 13 babies (possibly 14, not sure yet)
Checked this morning.
5 or 6 here
5 here
at least 3 here. I couldn't see anything but straw in this one last week, and supposed it was the lone male HOSP that had been hanging around. It's tough to see ecause of the angle and the difficult of accessing the roof compartments on the SK barn. But today I saw a martin come out of it so I took a closer look and SURPRISE! THREE WEE BEEBEES!
Totally infested with red mites. Literally were crawling all over the outside of the house too. I had to treat the entire martin house, and the babies, for fear of losing them and/or the parents abandoning the site. I will check them again tonight and try to wipe out any Sevin residue and make sure they are all ok a few hours before dark.
