- Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.
Well that's a huge leap from last year!!! Congrats!

Thanks DebA. Yes it is a good year for me. Know I have seen where I have make improvements . I have a three story 18 room house on a teles. Pole it's too heavy for me to continue to left. More nests the heavey it gets. Plan is to build a 30 room house and put it on a winch pole. The Alu. House I have has to lift open to do a. Nest check. I don't like them[/list]
2014 - 3 nest 15 eggs 15 fledged. 2015 - 17 nest 78 eggs 68 fledged
