female nesting in two gourds

There are only two gourds, just off our deck. I have enjoyed watching a pair of purple martins (Ricky and Lucy) for weeks. She has finally started nesting but is building in both gourds. She spends equal time in both. She will spend one night in one, the next night in the other. I am certain there are only 2 martins. Ideas please?

My one pair also built a nest in two gourds but laid eggs in one.
