They look good and are no doubt resting up for the next leg of their journey. BTW, they sure make a poopin' mess inside the gourds. I will need to change out pine needles. Of course, my martins are fastidiously clean.

My regulars came in early tonight after a good day feeding. I came inside thinking the show was over. When I looked out the window a half hour later, martins were dropping out of the sky and elbowing their way into the established gourds. I counted around 37 that are definitely migrating through. Some are still out of the gourds. I am always curious if they are not used to SREHs or if they are waiting for the occupants to doze off and then sneak in.
