It's been quite awhile since I have added a photo using Photobucket and the site has changed considerably. I am totally lost. Looked in the archives but found nothing I could use. Any suggestion from the pros that submit out of this world photos. I would like to know how even if I can't come close.

John,

I hope my example is what you're asking for:

I've always logged into my Photobucket acct, selected the photo I wanted, then scrolled to the right of the photo and it shows 4 different methods to "Share Links." I always left click on the the "Email & IM" link, then come to this location, right click and paste the link. (photo of me flipping mixture of eggs and crickets during early Spring snowstorm.)

http://s1118.photobucket.com/user/jrob4 ... c.jpg.html

I'm trying another method immediately following, where I click instead on the "IMG"link then right click and paste here to see if the image shows up without having to click on the first method....and it worked!

Jeff
Thanks for the info. giving a shot. It is an odd goldfinch that has been at our feeder all winter along with a pine warbler and a Baltimore oriole who just disappeared the first of March, hope a hawk did not get him.

Hope you got rid of the snow.

John,

Your link worked fine for me - beautiful white goldfinch except for the wing prints.

Dave, your picture came thru as well. I guided one of my 2014 mentees through that same process. He purchased the house and pole before finding me, then he revamped it and had it up last year.

Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

John, when I post pics like Jeff did I open this reply field. At the top click the Img tab then paste the link and hit Img again. I don't put any spaces in all of that. Try the preview button see if it works.

Jeff & Deb
Thanks for the help, I have tried several way to present pictures through Photobucket and have been able to view the pictures so half the battle is won.

I would really like to view photos as part of the post and not go to Photobucket to view them. Quite a few folks present them this way and it is really neat. Jeff's post was a fine example.

The photos I have posted are not very good, they were taken through insulated glass windows and at a distance of 40 feet with an old digital camera. It was below zero and these old bones balked at going outside.

John, try this.
1. Make a new post.
2. Click, "Img" (it will show, [Img] in the text area)
3. paste the link
4. Click "Img" again (it will show, [/Img] in the text area)

submit the post...see if that works, make sure there are no spaces after the Img links and the link is right after the bracket on the first "[Img]" bracket like this:
YES---"[Img]http......."

NOT like this:
http...."
