Martin Colony History: 22 year landlord, 14 at current residence..offering 9 racks and a homemade T-8 for 166 total cavities. 160 Pair in 2018 Racks consist of a Deluxe 12, AAA 16, Starburst 16, 2 K-18 Series, Super 24, 2 Gemini, Multi-purpose/two trio’s/4gourds and a T-8..Great hobby to be involved in..

106 confirmed Martin nests with eggs or nestlings...235 nestlings, 274 eggs!! :)
3 tree swallow pairs nesting with eggs or babies..
Two Bluebird pairs nesting with eggs and babies..
One Cardinal pair nesting with four eggs..
And finally, one Robins nest with four babies...
:)

Hey Tony,

Thanks for sharing that excellent update with us! It appears your "super martin colony" is still super in 2014!

Did you attract some more SY pairs to your colony? Our SY pair numbers appear to be down a little this year but ASYs are abundant. We do have those single SY males that are causing problems.

Thanks all...yes Steve I have a few SY's here, but I don't think I have as many as in years past. They are the ones doing some late nest building, so I'm thinking I will have a few more pairs to report. So far my season is going well with some much needed rain the past few days.

Martin Colony History: Colony started - 2007 with one pair
As of 2018 - 84 cavities offered, max # of pairs hosted - 82.
