A year over year martin population survey of the parsons public colonies this morning showed a 29% increase in the martin population. Great news!

The news is even better when you consider that the subbies still seem to be showing up. Over the last 5 days we have seen a large amount of subbies move in from almost none to at least 8 or 9 that I counted this morning.

DornCounty...good for you! We have almost no subbies in E. TX. All of our birds seem to be ASY. Maybe "ya'll" are getting our SY birds. Thankfully to good homes!

Wishing you nothing but the best...Tammy Winger

somebody must be getting my sy birds from last year as I have no subbie pairs at all;; I would think the colonies in the south would pick up all the subbies first and the northern states would get the leftovers;I had 6 pair of subbie last year;;;jr2
