It appears that many landlords, in the forum, are concerned that PM’s have not arrived. I live in Northern VA and have had 3 large 12 room PM’s houses for many years. Last year, we finally had PM’s in each house, but his year nothing so far. I have only seen one adult this spring and he didn’t stick around very long. He flew over and continued north. In past years, they have arrived in March or early April. I have been wondering if I, as landlord, did something last year to chase them away. If there are PM Landlords living near Aldie VA, I would love to hear from them.

Seems to me they should have been back? Any kind of attacks last year? Do you know if you fledged young last year? Did you do any kind of nest checks? Keep an eye on things?

Hi Tye;

I have had two ASY males arrive at my site, one on April 13th., and the other a week later, but since then no newcomers. They have had a female visit a couple of times but that is about it.

I feel certain these two males are my successful nesters from last year, as that was my first successful season. I keep thinking that there should be more arriving, but this weather just will not warm up. I have to feel that it has a lot to do with it.

Thank goodness these two ASY males appear to be so loyal, but I am beginning to feel sorry for them, they look awfully lonely. We are supposed to get some warmer days this week, so hopefully that will jump start everything.

Best of Luck;
Hanover Bill.

Hi Tye
I live in Winchester and most all landlords are full up with mostly ASY's.
Good Luck
Dave
