sy vs. asy

just wondering if the subbies come back too the area of the older collonies first like the asy do no matter what area or state you are in?what is the general area the subbies come back too wwhere they were born???I have heard different reports of the mile range?????? are all areas and states lagging behind 1 too 2 weeks this year as far as migration because of the cold weather???I live in southeast ohio???all input welcome as I can never learn too much;;;thanks;;jr2

jr my subbies have been coming back to same houses I think this year I'll have to many and they will fly to other local colonies. I'm helping my neighbors to get rid of starlings to insure they will have some of the birds

dick;thanks for your input;would they be a possibility that I would get any of your subbies; I had 11 pair last year that fledge;;;if all of thoses subbies come back too my houses I may not have enough room;;I do have room for 38 pair but I think I already have a potencial 4 10 pair counting the males I have that have stacked out an apartment;;;I do have 2 moe house in boxes I can put togeather if needed but I need too get poles for them;;jr2

Yea they say you may get like one I think? But my martins came back way early this year. I do not think migration was slow. They say subbies follow 4 weeks later. So I expect to see one soon that they will return early also.

It's slow. About two weeks behind here.

It is fast for me. Mine came a month early and I am full already and know SY birds back yet. Wonder why slow other places?
