Sparrow nesting material.
I want to fill my blains trap with nesting material for the sparrows. What will make them go crazy? Besides feathers I can't find any of those. Thanks

Blaines trap. My iPad keeps changing words. I don't pay attention. Sorry. And it is a baited sparrow trap. Any idea what to put in it?

In addition to nesting material, I place a few grains of bird seed on the landing platform.

Some landlords due put in nesting materials (dried grass/straw/string, etc.) into their sparrow traps. I find bread scraps much more effective. Most lawns contain natural/abundant bird building materials anyway, so why would house sparrows or English starlings enter a scary trap for what is already very and safely available?. Trash birds are drawn to trash food like a magnet! Just watch a fast food parking lot.('
') Good luck.

As buddy said, next best bait to feathers would be strips of white tissue, if they are actively building nests. Sparrows line their nests with this stuff.
