How is your season starting out?
My first scout was the latest since 2000 and I still have just 3 males and 1 female. 6 year average for the 10th of April is 10 with a range of 9 to 16.
My numbers are down, how about yours?
Late this year with all the cold weather which another spell about to hit the Midwest. I too only have about half what I usually have this deep in April.
No barn Swallows, Chimney swifts, Great Crested Flycatcher's, or B. Oriole's either so I can safely say Spring hasn't sprung here.

I live in Mississippi. We have more martins than we ever had by this date. I have seen 1 SY female and no SY males yet. We are almost full with ASY's. Don't know where any SY's will stay here. Maybe few open cavities on T-14. We usually have good many SY males each year. Maybe more will be there soon.
Usually see killdeers before any martins. Killdeer just arrived yesterday. We probably have 300 martins here with new martins arriving daily. Barnies, tree swallows and eastern kingbird just came earlier this week.
