My colony has doubled in size in one day!

Had another female show up today, & the competition was on! My two single males were so funny fighting over her. Literally fighting to the ground. I've seen things I've never seen & heard sound's I've never heard them make. You can learn so much with a super colony! What?... You mean 2 pair isn't a super colony! :lol:

Can't wait for the SY's to get here. I think. :???:

Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

I have 5 in residence 2 pair and 1 extra male. All are ASY except one female I'm not sure about. She could be but I don't think so.

Well I sure hope your right! I would think it would be easier for 5 martins to attract others, than just one lone SY male like I've had for so many years. I would love to have a yard full.
