I hope I am not over stepping my bounds with this, but Sandy Bunn's wife recently passed away. I'm sure he could use some emotional support from those who share his love of Purple Martins...

- Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!
Sorry to hear. Everyone that cares for nature will have a great after life.

So sorry to hear this news. Met Sandy and his wife at Martinfest few years back. Our prayers and thoughts are with their family.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. She will be missed and did love our Martins. If the first one of the year arrived while I was at work, she would call me all excited that they had returned. She was also my nest check partner. But, alas, life goes on, as she is finally at peace.
