They are still here, spent the second night. Apparently they have gone out for Sunday morning brunch. I failed to post a sign to tell them my motel is not set up for continental breakfast . I am so thankful I didn't throw in the towel.

They are still here, spent the second night. Presently out for morning brunch or to Sunday School. I forgot to post sign to tell them that my motel doesn't offer continental breakfast. Can't begin to tell you how excited I am, so glad that I didn't throw in the towel. With a streak of luck, I might be able to list this event to highlights of 2014.

Delma that is WONDERFUL NEWS!!!

I am thankful that you didn't throw in the towel as well as i have been routing for you to get some red river martins for several years now.

I wonder if any of your new martins could be some descendants of the martins me or my father had there years ago, that would be kind of neat if they were.

I don't see your name on the Scout report?? I tried for 18 years to get those beautiful birds, so I know what you was going thru. I got my first pair 2 years ago and can't wait till they come back. Jim

Yesterday the temperature kept dropping and the wind blew strongly rocking the houses. Martins left about mid-afternoon and no sign of them this morning. I am hoping they just moved to a warm place and will return later today when its a bit warmer. I have lots of trees not too far from my back yard, maybe those will help. Close to freezing last night. I am still rooting for them.
