I'm building a modified version of a T-14 as my first martin house. I purchased ultimate tunnels from S & K manufacturing because I liked the idea of tunnels and liked the looks of that model.

I am going to stagger these vertically on independant doors for each nesting chamber.

Would the landing attached to the tunnel be sufficent to keep happy Martins, or would they use a larger porch area like those in the T-14 plans?

Andy,
Sounds like a good idea. We use these porches on our BO11 plus gourds.. They work very well. Sometimes when both parents are feeding and arriving at the same time it gets a little small. but a good helpful thing those porches! The martins appreciate them!
Best of Luck in 2014,

Aye, a second for the tunnels/porches here! We have those exact ones on our BO9s, and they LOVE them. Very good purchase.
