trying to take pics and send showing my poles with gourd racks and t-14s covered with tarps
2015 69 pairs 418 eggs 396 fledged
2019 I have 148 openings now
2016 100 pairs 600 babies fledged added another t-14 and have 126 openings now
2015 Jun 24 360 babies and 58 eggs also found one that had died
2017 632 babies 11died and 20 were killed by hawks
2015 74 pairs and 9 eggs 5/14
2010 3pairss

2018 651 babies 5 hawk kills 11 floater kills 25 died in houses and 610 fledged

2014 80 pairs 283 babies 282 fledged one died

2015 - 18 Gourds offered - 12 active nests, 62 eggs, 51 fledged
2014 - 18 gourds offered - 12 active nests, 52 eggs, 48 fledged
2013 - 12 gourds offered - 9 pairs, 56 eggs, 52 hatched, 49 fledged
2012 - 12 gourds offered -4 pairs, 20 eggs, 19 fledged
2011 - 6 gourds offered -1 pair, 5 eggs, 5 hatched, 5 fledged !!!!

I worked hard to get rid of all the starlings and sparrows I had many sleepless nights worrying about a sparrow being in a box and how I would get it. Yes I am bless with the pond and the flightways I have.

Your site is beautiful , your house being higher than your site must be a good viewing advantage. Dick, did you ever find out if some one lost a martin site near by,or how you increased so many birds in one season? Have you been able to teach your birds supplemental feeding? Good luck in 2014 ,it's only 4 months away. (ONLY)

Ed An individual 5 miles from me closed down his site. I'm sure I got many of his. I tried throwing up crickets at them a few times but they didn't try to catch them. I left some crickets on the porches and they did eat some of them. I think my pond has a lot to do with it and my 3 flightways are great for them. I have a fourth which surprised the heck out of me. Its actually a narrow space between my house and pine trees.
I also attiibute my growth to the Gemini Gourd rack. It seems that once I put the gourds on the rack. The 60 pairs came out of the blue. That's why I got a second Gemini. If I had to do it all over I wouldn't have got the 3 T-14s. They are so heavy. The Gemini's are so much easier to work with. I do everything alone and I'm 68 so I need all the help to make it easier for me. I think my patience of waiting for 15 years finally paid off and I love them. God only knows how long I can do this but I'll try and long as I can do it. Good luck this year Ed
