Messing with gourds...a new career

I just love cleaning out my gourds and houses!
don't know why but can't hardly wait to dive into that nice dirty stinky job!. Why? Maybe it's the thrill of finding an unusual object in the nesting materials
or maybe just the satisfaction of cleaning up after the little purple buddies making their houses spic and span again.
Any way since doing this job gives me such joy I have decided to make it my new career! So next season I will load a power washer into my little Toyota truck, then pack several hundred large garbage bags, green scrubbers, and paper towels. I will drive to the deep south and take orders to clean YOUR gourds and houses. As the season progresses I will move north taking orders as I go until the snow flies. Finished? Not yet, it's time to head south again to warmer weather, there's work to do and orders to take... packing nesting materials and hanging gourds.

I have heard a few people actually do get paid to this and have a business at it.
Have briefly considered contacting some golf courses or upscale neighborhoods...but figure I'm busy enough with non-paying colonies and get paid as you say in just enjoying it.

I have thought about that very thing Ray.
I can hardly wait for next year. Already have
the nesting material, and new pole and gourds
are on the way to my house, so hopefully I will
have a larger colony next year.

I like to work on gourds, but cleaning them, that's out!

- Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.
Ray,
Just head west and when you reach Kansas City veer Southwest. MapQuest says it will take you 23hours to get here. So I can expect you sometime tomorrow? I am happy to supply you with your favorite drink while you work. Just let me know what that is.

Ray, since you're going to Deb's place maybe you could swing my way and work on my gourds. I'm a homebrewer and wine maker and could fix you up with a beverage that would make you real happy cleaning gourds. Let me know what you prefer.

Maybe I should go west and east first before heading south
