I didn't get a chance to make it down to the roost in downtown Oklahoma City last year. My understanding is that they were roosting at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and that caused quite the stink (pun intended). This year the main roost has moved to a spot previously used by martins in years past. The roost is located just west of Chesapeake Energy Arena in trees in the median on Ron Norick Boulevard which is the north/south street just west of the 'Peake. This is a good spot for them as they really aren't bothering anybody besides the ones driving under them on the boulevard!

I shot this video on Friday, July 26th. The roost is large and very healthy. There is an empty lot just west of them which makes viewing very easy.

Good video Michael. Very thankful that the roost moved back to the arena site. Thanks for letting us have a look. Plan to visit this week.

My wife was amazed that I was right under those trees filming the martins with droppings falling all around me and I didn't get hit once. She joked that they knew who I was.

Michael, a really nice video. I loved the train whistle in the background.
