I just lowered my houses one third for the next two days because in Ohio there will be bad winds the next two days. I cant even sleep when they are left up.

OOH! I will be the same way! I have trouble sleeping now with just my one "precious" nesting pair! LOL! Hope all turns out fine. You are a good landlord and planning ahead!

Same here. I get a bit neurotic when winds or storms are on the horizon. So much so that my tri-tel is never at full height, only two sections, and when storms come, it drops to the one section. My crew could care less, and I'm not plastered (as much) to the window watching while it storms. I keep telling myself, "Not crazy, just careful."

Yes better to be safe than sorry> We even had quarter size hail last night and the darn pms were sitting out until they got hit with some. Everything okay right now but more storms tonight. You all are great landlord. Wonderful people of my heart.

Is this standard procedure to lower houses partially for bad storms? I know we can't lower the one we have on a rope as it sort of locks in place at the top and would really blow around if lowered any. The other we have on a winch and square pole so could lower it partway which I assume gives the house more stability for house and pole.
