Anybody make new Door Panels For the Heath Castle "like" houses. I'm not able to fight the starlings with my work schedule, and it's a banner year here for them. Thanks in advance "pear"

I'm not sure of this but would Trio doors fit the Heath?

I suggest you find some of the plastic plate entrances that can be cut to fit your doors. They can be glued on in quick second. Check out the PMCA store.

I had a Heath castle years ago and it had no doors that opened. It made nest checks impossible to do. Now, if you are talking Trio houses, you can get doors or any other parts to fix them. PMCA has the doors.

Ah, those kind. Think I'd just buy me some plates and start cutting up the house!! The castles look good but the compartments are too small.

Hope you find a fix.

Yes I'm not fond of the Heath Houses, but I've got them so I'd like to get away from the round holes. Just hoping somebody makes a replacement or a fix. Thanks "pear"

Pear, look at the S&K Clinger Ultimate Tunnel. Couldn't you cover your round holes with the tunnel making an entirely new entrance. It still won't allow nest checks but would keep starlings out. Might not look so good but it would also add space to the compartment. Simple as drilling 4 holes for the push pins. Other tunnels might work too but I don't have experience with them. Tunnel size might be too big but it's just an idea.

Heath probably won't be changing their designs so you'll need to adapt something. Hope you come up with something!

Hi Pear.
You may want to check with the manufacturer - Heath.
They sell an aluminum model like yours, that has door panels that have starling resistant entrances, and also open up for nest checking.
Not sure, but those panels (if available) may fit on your existing house, and replace the round hole panels.

You can glue Sintra Clinger entrances (from S&K Manufacturing) to the Heath Door panels, BUT, you first have to widen the openings on the Heath panels. (I used a Dremel to do this.) This winter, I also modified my Heath houses (using instructions from the Archives) on how to modify a Trio house.

I use vinyl white siding and cut out all my entrances to be secured with liquid nails to convert entrances. By doing this you can be exact on the 1 and 3/16th height. I use a fine blade coping saw and take my time to cut my cresents.
