I was pretty surprised to see 2 ASY females in my backyard this afternoon. Its in the thirties and really windy.
As soon as I saw them I went out and raised the one rack while they watched from about 15' away. I went inside and thawed out some crickets, when I came back out one was gone and the other was on the downwind side of my gazebo roof.
I threw about 50 crickets over, past, away from and at her feet but she just sat there. I went inside to thaw some more and when I came out she was gone and all the crickets on the roof were still there
Hope they make it, Its been cold, windy and rainy here for several days.

Yes, it's absolutely cold and nasty here in Michigan today! Switching constantly between rain and snow. Winds 15 mph+ with wind chills around 30.
I have four ASY guys here and they have been HUNGRY!!!!!
They must have been here before and caught crickets. They picked up on it again quick and I have sent over 300 up to them in the past three days. Very few have hit the ground.
Good thing I got a shipment of crickets last week!!!!

The weather has been cold cloudy and windy I have 30+ birds back. I put 24 hour hand warmers when my first ones arrived. I have been flipping crickets and eggs to them. I have put up a feeding tray and they have been eating eggs and crickets off of it. forecast is to be warmer tomorrow. It has been a tough beginning of the season for them.
