Martins left

We have had martins for 6-7 years. This year there were about 4-5 martins that arrived mon-tues. and have now disappeared. Has anyone else had this happen? My husband is afraid it's because the neighbors have not cleaned out their houses yet but I thought it may be related to the weather being so cold. Please give me so feedback as to why they are gone. We put in 2 big amish houses last yr in addition to our other 3 and will be really bummed if they don't come back.

I had one Martin that left. Then I had three that left. Again I had one that left. Now I have 20+ that are staying around. First time this has happened and I've had Martins for a long long time. Can't answer the question, but the same thing has happened to me this year.

sometimes my birds go for 2 to three days at a time
i really think it is a combo of feeding and recruiting other birds
if your birds had a good year last year, they will be back.Also, i found the gourds will attract them better then the t-14
i have 3 t-14s and one gemini rack with 24 gourds

cleaning out the house didnt do it
I have one house i have never cleaned because the pole cant be changed and for some reason they like that house better then my clean t-14s lol
its the weather good luck and i pray you get double what you had last year
