Everything seems to be pretty normal here now. The weather has really been
nice the past 2 days, and it rained last night and it is nice right now. I got the
new T-22 raised yesterday and martins have been checking it out. I haven't
seen any go in it yet but they act like they are excited it is there. I took the
gourds down that have been there the past 3-4 years. I'm trying to make it
easier on myself with getting everything ready for them each year. It was
becoming a lot of work. Hopefully next year I can raise up another one. I will
try to send pics later. I really thought it turned out nice. I have also been very busy trapping and shooting sparrows. They have been very aggressive
now that the martins are pairing up, and trying to pick their individual next
hole. There has been a drastic amount of sparrows arrive. I don't know where
they all came from, but they are welcome to go back, else they will wish they
had. Everyone have a Happy Easter & God Bless.

Darryl, glad to hear everything is going good for you now. After my arrivals this morning the sparrows were right behind them. Today I trapped 5 sparrows 3 males and 2 females plus 1 starling.

Darryl,

That sounds like a really nice house!

I live between Joplin and Neosho MO; I'd like to pay you and your colony a visit, if that's OK... I found you in the phone book and will call you after the weekend....

I'm hoping that the martins will fill this new house up. You are welcome to
come see my colony anytime. I have lot's of people come and see them.
You might want to call before you come out, but I'm usually home most of
the time during the week.

The sparrows are thick here too. Have not had a problem with them before but I guess every year is different. Last year the BB's gave me a lot of trouble.

Good luck Darryl...hope you have lots of PM's this year.

If you get the chance, please post some photos of the T-22.
