3 Days late in VA

Where are they at last year VA already had martins this year they are running late hope they get here soon
When God gives you martins love and admire them when God gives you starlings shoot em
I have been watching the scout reports like a hawk wondering the same. Of course our weather has been pretty bad the past few days towards the west. That may be holding them up.
2nd Year trying to attract martins! Wish me luck!
Hi Phil : Don't take this wrong but if I lived there I would be hoping they hold back a while. It seems the weather is becoming less predictable than it used to be. It would be worse to have them come early and run into a real bad storm like there having in the west. Good luck to you when they do get there.

If you look at the arrival dates for the past ten years, for Virginia, you will see that the martins are not late. Their usual arrival dates in the last ten years have been in the last week of February and the first week of March. Last year's arrival was just extremely early. I personally don't want them to arrive early--too cold.
