- Martin Colony History: I have been a landlord for 24 years.
Three gourd racks with total of 28 super gourds.
2021 - 28 nesting pairs
Just had my first martin show up this afternoon in southeast Missouri. Thought I saw one yesterday at dusk on the perch, but he flew away. I did not have the gourds put up yet. Today I put up one gourd rack and then he flew over making that beautiful chortle sound. He doesn't have the best timing! Still cold here and suppose to get lots of rain. At least I have one gourd rack up so he has a place to stay!!

Congrats JoLita!!!
I could have sworn i heard one up in the sky here about noon but never saw it and my racks are still empty, but they are getting closer.
