Thanks, James Strickland, for the Valentine wishes. I have noticed that there are many more men hosting martins than women, and I find that very, very touching. It must be a large group of the sensitive men of the USA who really, really care about what's important! Thank you, guys. I can't imagine a world without martins--I have had mine for 27 years, and luckily I have a hubby who is a good helper--he does most of the heavy lifting and plenty of feeding, especially when I am gone.

Martin Colony History: Had my site up to 22 gourds of which most (+/-3) stayed occupied.
Downsized to 17 gourds due to back surgeries. Had 14 families in 2017 but did not do nest checks due to health. Feeling better in 2018 and hoping for a good year.

Thanks James, that is so sweet.
