Alright, It's starting to rain from Isaac. It's been so long. We're on the edge of the depression here but still hoping for one inch plus of rain. It won't get us out of this nasty drought but it's a start. You people east should get a lot more rain. I hope everybody gets some of this. It's terribly dry. Lets all root for Isaac. And lets pray for those people down south that's been flooded out of there homes and had to much rain. What a strange year.

You can say that again, this has been one for the record book.

I live in LeRoy, IL near Bloomington, just off of I74 at mile marker 149. Starting tonight and by tomorrow afternoon we are suppose to have 5 to 7 inches of rain. Weather man said some areas good even get up to 12 inches. The ground is so hard here there will be a lot of run off. Which means lots of flooding. From no rain to being dump on. Like you said strange year.

Well, the weather people forecasting an inch had it wrong, I'm so happy. We are up to 4 1/2 inches and still counting. It started yesterday morning and hasn't stopped. Suppose to rain pretty much all day. I'm already seeing some green in the yard, amazing.

The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

That's great, Dave! The past two years are the first I have ever experienced drought. I saw on the news the other night just how bad it is in Missouri. Having this at the same time as economic downswing is twice as bad. As in everything previously an upswing has to be coming for both. Eventually. Hope we can all hang on until then. Take care.

Rains over. We got a good 6 inches in 2 days. I am so delighted. Hopefully Deb, that upswing is upon us.

Excellent. That is a great start. I hate seeing livestock on the news walking around to find a sprig of green. Poor things.

We here in sw Michigan are still dry. And still hot. Maybe tomorrow!? We've been getting some rain but not near enough.
