The last of the babies fledged yesterday, they beat the heat this year. Last year was so sad with all the jumpers. Bill put both houses on one pole with a -T- he built and added a winch because of the extra weight. This year we were prepared to add the mister to cool them down. 31 eggs and 29 fledglings, sparrow got one egg and the insert trap sent him and his mate to sparrow heaven, one dead baby. I miss the martins beautiful voices.

Last night about 8:10, the sky filled with the beautiful squawking of alot of martins, hard to count, came in to roost in their own houses. We miss them, but are so very glad to see them fly and not die. At this time maybe they will roost here and not at the east side of town roost yet. they have roosted here before..
