I finally finished my Martin House and installed it at the local campground today thanks to the permission of the owner and help from my Dad. It has 16 units + 2 gords, SREH on a steel pole with a winch. It has two unique features which are the DawnSong played from an Apple I-Pod and Iron-on transfer graphics. See my website for more details:https://sites.google.com/site/kd8kuf/pr ... ondo-house

I'm going to recruit some of the residents to help with the maintenance.

That is one of the finest martin house I've ever seen. Is this your own design. Are the SREH's of your own making. Just fabulous lookin. Great job and good luck with the martins.

I don’t have the perfect site. One open flyway with trees within 80 ft. I do have a small pond they utilize during the heat of Summer. (2017) HEAVY HAWK PREDATION

fantastic.

would consider wing entrapment guards, eventually...but okay until near full occupancy, which I predict for some season.

these are very nice house designs...

Is that a house made from Chuck Abare print? www.chuckspurplemartinpage.com? Here is a photo of one my brother-in law made me.

Great job and best of luck with PM.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'm really looking forward to attracting some Martins. I lowered the house for the first time today and am already enjoying the experience!

Glynn B: Design is from Chuck Abare: www.chuckspurplemartinpage.com I made the SREH's myself as detailed on my website.

Peggy: Thanks for the compliment on my age! I'll be 50 this year!

TonyG: I do have a copyright on a shooting bench I designed using Google SketchUp: https://sites.google.com/site/kd8kuf/pr ... -bench-2x4

Maybe some day I'll build the Octa-Quad house I designed!: https://sites.google.com/site/kd8kuf/pr ... tin-colony

I think it would be interesting to design a 4'x4' platform elevated with individual chalet houses facing outward with backs that open so that you could stand on the platform to do nest checks. So everything would be stationary, you just climb a ladder about 8'. Should be able to hold a lot of houses/gourds.
