I trapped another starling yesterday that was getting into my Troyer gourds with the Conley II entrance. I check my gourds every other day and saw that a starling was making a nest. My observation is a martin will not go into a gourd after a starling is making a nest. I set the pin trap (my homemade pin is longer and they don't see it) and caught it. That makes 3 for me. It is easier using the gun when you are shooting in a trash can with the starling in a mesh bag.

Hi,
Is it just your pin that is homemade or the trap too?
If your trap is homemade would you please share what you used?

Thanks! :)
Have a great season!

I also had a starling breach one of my Conley II THG recently. I was able to catch it with the Troyer tunnel trap. There have been no more breaches that I know of (although other weird things have happened). Ms. Benjamin has taken care of several more starlings that had the audacity to land on my new Gemini.
