No Martins

Martin Colony History: 24 years

In Breese IL on March the 22 I have no martins
my colony is about 25 years old I always get martins by the March 12th
Last year I had 46 pair.
there are martins in the area because my friends have some 10 to 12
only one martin stop by on the 20th one female.
Hope nothing happen to my colony.

Hello Ed... :) I bet your birds will be their soon, with that many pairs
that you had last year I would not think anything would happen to
all of them, As long as you didn't have a snake or owl are any other
problem then your martins should return,

2012 1 pair...4 young fledged.

Martin Colony History: Erected 1st house in 1997. Birds were checking it out before Mike got down from the ladder. Six cavities had a little colony 1st year. Grown to 88 cavities all gourds with near 100% occupancy. Most important factor for success is rain = bugs.

Hang in there. In my opinion, you are going through one of the toughest parts of being a landlord. Hope all the best for you.

I've been waiting on your report Ed. You are one of those I look for that gets their martins back before I do. Still nothing at my home but we had one back at Cahokia Mounds on Monday. They will be here. Hang in there.
