Does anyone know where I can get porches to install on my round-holed supergourds? I had some plastic ones that I bought from PMCA a couple years ago but the only ones I can find now are for the flat-bottom starling resistant holes and they won't work. Can I make something? any ideas? I've already started replacing some of the SuperGourds with the starling-resistant entrances but I still have several of he round entrances that I would like to continue using.

Bill the picture that Trish sent you of her porches will work..that is what I have on mine. I drilled 2 small holes right below the round hole and used 2 small screws and a little gorilla glue..works fine

I will share what I do to my round hole super gourd's when I want just a porch and round hole configuration. This method uses a 2inch male adapter screwed into the round hole of the SG. I then use 2 inch PVC pipe, boiling water and make these PVC porches. They are thick and strong and do not become brittle in the sun. The male adapter help's keep rain out and is a plus. This is very simple to do. You can also use 22.5 coupler's or 45 degree coupler's and rig up several configuration's.

Yes, the plastic gets soft in boiling water, you can then bend it to any shape, or it flops down when it gets too hot. I made many porches and tunnels in that manner and they hold up very well. I put those tunnels and porches on natural and plastic gourds. Its easy when you use lightweight sewer and drain pipe, it gets soft much quicker
I prefer to use a heat gun rather than boiling water, the heat gun is quicker and not so messy (and my wife don't gripe
). I even used an old BBQ pit, put the plastic over coals and it will soften. Some people have used old electric toaster ovens, etc.
Its easy to make porches and bend them to fit round plastic gourds.
Caution: Don't burn your fingers on the hot plastic!
