I'm getting so excited for this season to start. The new square pole with pulley rope and winch, gourd rack, and Bo11 gourds with tunnels are on their way to me. I'm so excited to get everything up and see how this years martins like them. I also have my house up (well right now it is retracted down and I'll raise it once the PMs start getting up my direction. Last summer at the end of the season we had tons of martins checking out our house and pond so I am hopeful that the PMs we were able to have set up shop last year will mean more this year. No one in my immediate area has gourds although there is someone about 12 miles from us that have three poles, one on each side with gourds and a house on the middle pole and they have had great success with the gourds.

I'm looking forward to putting the hubby to work digging my hole and pouring the cement so I can get the pole up. Thankfully we have had a very mild winter and next week our temps are going to be 65-72 degrees IN MARCH!!! I had hoped to get everything up last fall but just didn't have the time or money.

Here's to everyone's success this year!
